Large ravines expose massive stone walls, making ore detection difficult without this pack. The glowing outlines make rare deposits visible from hundreds of blocks away, turning tedious searching into quick scanning.

Effective Ravine Scanning Technique

Stand at the ravine entrance and look across the exposed walls. Scan systematically from left to right, top to bottom. Cyan glows indicate diamonds—these stand out immediately against stone. Red pulses show redstone veins. Gold's warm yellow is visible even at distance.

The animated pulsing effect helps your eye catch movement, so rare ores draw attention naturally. You don't need to stare—the animation does the work for you.

Planning Your Route

Once you spot valuable deposits, mark them with torches or waypoints before climbing down. This prevents wasted time searching for ore you already saw. In massive ravines, the glow system lets you identify which walls are worth mining before committing to dangerous climbs.
