Finding Feature Generation Points
Use the locate command to pinpoint exactly where your configured features are generating, which is essential for debugging placement issues.
Basic Location Search
1. Run /locate feature <configured_feature> where <configured_feature> is the full ID of your feature (e.g., mypack:custom_ore_deposit)
2. The command returns coordinates of nearby generation points for that feature
3. Travel to those coordinates to inspect the generated terrain
Inspecting Generation Results
Once at a feature location:
- Check if the feature generated at the correct height range
- Verify it respects terrain constraints (water, stone type, biome, etc.)
- Look for overlapping or conflicting features
- Use
/getDensitycommands to check density function values at that position
