TekTopia FAQ

TekTopia is a village management mod that adds villagers with jobs such as farmer, miner, guard, and blacksmith, along with buildings like the town hall, tavern, and barracks. You build the village and your villagers adapt to your designs.

The TekTopia addons project lists Forge as its loader and Minecraft 1.12.2 as its version. The 9Minecraft article also refers to TekTopia Mod 1.12.2.

There are over 20 professions, including Bard, Blacksmith, Butcher, Chef, Cleric, Druid, Enchanter, Farmer, Guard, Captain, Lumberjack, Miner, Rancher, Teacher, Child, Nitwit, Nomad, and Merchant. Male and Female versions of all villagers exist.

Structures include the Town Hall, Storage, Home2/4/6, Mineshaft, Smithy, Cow Pen, Sheep Pen, Pig Pen, Chicken Coop, Butcher, Kitchen, Tavern, Library, School, Guard Post, Barracks, and Merchant Stall. The mod has over 18 unique structures.

The mod file registers 40 items and blocks, including bard, barracks, beer, blacksmith, butcher, captain, chair, chef, chicken coop, child, cleric, cow pen, druid, enchanter, farmer, guard, guard post, heart, home 2, home 4, home 6, kitchen, library, lumberjack, merchant stall, miner, mineshaft, nitwit, nomad, pig pen, rancher, rancher hat, school, sheep pen, smithy, storage, tavern, teacher, and town hall.

The addons project includes compatibility patches for Pams Harvestcraft, Epic Knights, and Fossils and Archaeology. It is not compatible with Tektopia Harvestraft Compat because the addons include a more general implementation of the same feature.

You sell your villager products to the wandering merchant for emeralds. Merchants will buy and sell from a chest placed directly under the merchant stall marker.

You use emeralds to expand your village with new structures and acquire new villager professions. The Town Hall is where you buy structures and new profession tokens.

Yes. Guards can wear modded armor and weapons, and you can equip them by right-clicking with armor or swords/weapons. Armors with custom models do not work properly, and guards will not change that equipment unless you tell them to.

The Necromancer is an evil enemy who summons an army of minions that you must protect your village from. Guards patrol the village keeping it safe from invaders.
