Give Every Player the Same Clouds on a Multiplayer Server

When Super Fancy Clouds Refabricated is installed on a dedicated server, it syncs identical cloud shapes across all connected players. Everyone looks up and sees the same formations, which is great for screenshots, shared builds and roleplay.

Setting It Up

1. Make sure the mod is installed on the dedicated server.

2. Make sure players also have the mod on their game clients so they can render the 3D clouds.

3. Start the server and join the world.

4. Ask another player to stand nearby and compare the sky. The cloud shapes should match.

Using the Server Controls

1. Open the chat window.

2. Type /sfcr help and press Enter.

3. Read the list of cloud settings and server controls that appears. This list is the reference for what you, as admin, can adjust on the server.

Make changes from that list instead of guessing command names. The help output is the authoritative list for your setup.

Why Syncing Matters

  • Weather consistency: Rain only falls where clouds are overhead. With synced clouds, every player sees rain under the same clouds.
  • Shared events: A storm rolling over spawn looks the same to everyone, dark cloud bottoms included.
  • Screenshots: Group photos at sunrise or sunset show the same pink and golden tints for all players.

If one player's clouds look different from everyone else's, check that the mod is running on the server. Shape syncing only happens through a dedicated server install.
