Crafting the Slabs

Place a Snow Covered Oak Slab recipe in a crafting table using the shaped recipe for the block. The result is a Snow Covered Oak Slab. These slabs match the footprint of a normal oak slab but carry a snow layer on top, so they sit flush against Snow Covered Oak Stairs and other snow-topped blocks.

Crafting the Stairs

Craft Snow Covered Oak Stairs with the standard stair-shaped arrangement. The output is a Snow Covered Oak Stairs block. Because both the slab and the stairs come from the same snow-covered oak family, you can mix them in a single build without a visible seam between the snow surfaces.

Building With Them

Use Snow Covered Oak Slabs for floors, paths, and low ledges where you want a continuous snow line. Use Snow Covered Oak Stairs for steps, roof edges, and raised borders. The slab occupies half a block, so it works as a top or bottom half depending on placement. Stairs give you the angled face for slopes and corners. Keep a stack of each on hand when roofing a cabin, since alternating slab and stair rows produces a clean snow-covered roofline. Both blocks are crafted, not found, so bring the base materials to a crafting table before you start building.
