The Problem

When using Waystones or other teleportation methods in The Arid Lands (TAN) mod, your thirst meter would drain significantly during the teleport, even though no time actually passed. This made long-distance travel punishing.

How It's Fixed

RLTweaker detects large-distance teleports and prevents thirst from draining during the transition. Your thirst level remains exactly where it was before you teleported, regardless of distance.

Thirst Synchronization

The mod also includes automatic thirst synchronization between server and client. This means your thirst value stays consistent across network updates. You can configure the synchronization delay in the settings if you experience desyncs—a longer delay reduces network traffic but may cause brief visual inconsistencies.

Using Waystones Safely

You can now use Waystones for travel without worrying about unexpected thirst penalties. This is especially useful when crossing large biomes or traveling between distant bases.
