Understand the Stretching Effect

When you enable stretched aspect ratio (4:3 or 5:4), your first-person hand and items may appear misaligned or positioned awkwardly because the screen shape has changed. The mod includes tools specifically to correct this visual issue.

Access Hand Adjustment Settings

Open the Rescale Aspect Ratio Mod settings menu and locate the first-person hand settings section. This area controls how your hands and held items display when stretched.

Reposition Using the Built-In Tool

Press Insert to activate the live hand editor. Use Ctrl + Arrow Keys to move your items left, right, up, or down until they align properly with your stretched view. Hold Shift for faster adjustments.

Resize if Needed

Some versions allow you to adjust item size alongside position. Check your hand settings menu for scaling or size options. Make small adjustments to ensure your items look natural and don't obstruct your view.

Once your items display correctly, your settings persist across sessions.
