Understanding Range

The Quicksorter's sorting distance depends on the block underneath the chest:

• Emerald block: Sorts items up to 5 blocks away
• Diamond block: Sorts items up to 10 blocks away

Choosing the Right Block

If your storage area is small and compact, an emerald block is sufficient and easier to obtain. For larger storage rooms or sprawling bases, use a diamond block to reach chests further away.

Expanding Your System

If you need to sort items across multiple areas, you can create multiple Quicksorters in different locations. Each operates independently. For example, place one Quicksorter near your mining storage and another near your crafting area.

Remember that the range is measured in blocks from the Quicksorter block itself, so plan chest placement accordingly. Test the range by placing a chest at the edge of where you expect sorting to work.
