Cutting the Base Blocks
Start from
Basalt Quadratiles and
Basaltic Blackstone. Both are stonecutting inputs, so take your raw material to a stonecutter rather than a crafting table. From Basalt Quadratiles you can cut
Basalt Slab,
Chiseled Basalt Quadratiles, and
Gilded Basalt Quadratiles. From Basaltic Blackstone you can cut
Basaltic Blackstone Slab and
Basaltic Blackstone Stair.
Mixing Textures
Use the slab and stair variants to break up flat walls. Basalt Slab and Basaltic Blackstone Slab let you create layered floors and half-height trim, while Basaltic Blackstone Stair handles corners and rooflines. Chiseled Basalt Quadratiles work well as a focal panel or a framed accent, since the chiseled pattern reads differently from the plain quadratile surface.
Adding the Gilded Accent
Gilded Basalt Quadratiles are the decorative highlight of the set. Use them sparingly — as inlays, borders, or a single feature wall — so the gilded pattern stands out against the darker basalt and blackstone blocks. Because every variant comes from stonecutting, you can convert a single stack of base material into a full palette of slabs, stairs, chiseled, and gilded pieces without a crafting table.
