What's the difference between my chat radius and render distance?
Chat radius controls how far away a player can be and still have their messages appear in your chat, while render distance controls how far you can see blocks. These are completely separate settings and don't affect each other.
Do commands and server announcements get filtered by chat radius?
By default, system messages and command output are not filtered by radius, so you'll see them regardless of distance. You can configure this behavior in your mod settings if you want these messages filtered too.
Does this mod work with other chat mods?
Compatibility depends on what the other mod does—mods that modify chat display may conflict. If you experience issues with multiple chat mods installed, try disabling them one at a time to identify the problem.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Localized Chat is lightweight and shouldn't noticeably impact performance, as it only filters existing chat messages rather than generating new data.
Can I see messages from players in other dimensions?
Chat radius is based on distance in the world, so players in different dimensions are typically considered infinitely far away and their messages won't appear, even if they're close in coordinates.
