How to Master Chanting and Charging Attacks

Using the Chant System

Chanting increases your attack power before unleashing techniques. This mechanic is core to dealing maximum damage in combat.

How to Chant

1. Press and hold Z to begin charging your active ability

2. Hold Z longer to build up more power—your Cursed Energy meter will deplete gradually

3. Release Z to fire the charged attack with increased damage output

4. The longer you hold, the more powerful the attack, but you consume more energy

Tips for Effective Chanting

• Use chanting before domain clashes to maximize damage when it matters most
• Watch your Cursed Energy HUD meter—stop charging if energy runs too low
• For quick combos, tap Z for uncharged attacks instead of holding
• Some abilities (like Hollow Purple or Dismantle) benefit significantly from longer charges
• Position yourself safely before chanting, as you cannot move while holding Z
