Understanding Detection Modes

Your mod offers two collision detection methods:

  • Collide: Minecarts only damage mobs they physically touch
  • Radius: Minecarts damage all entities within a configurable radius, even without direct contact

Switch between them using selectedApplicaionMode in your configuration.

Configuring Radius Size

If you're using Radius mode, the intRadius setting controls detection distance in blocks, ranging from 3 to 10. A smaller radius (3-4 blocks) creates a tight detection zone for precision mob farms. A larger radius (8-10 blocks) clears mobs across a wider area, useful for general defense but risks hitting unintended targets.

Testing Your Setup

After adjusting your detection mode and radius, test with a slow minecart first to observe the collision behavior. Once you're satisfied with the detection range, accelerate the cart to your desired speed for damage testing. This prevents accidental damage to your base or protected mobs while you're calibrating.
