Troubleshoot Ported Mods That Won't Load

Identify Missing Dependencies

If a ported mod (like a combat or scaling mod) fails to load, it may be missing ForgedFabric API Mod. Check your game log for error messages mentioning "ForgedFabric" or "missing dependency."

Fix the Problem

1. Download ForgedFabric API Mod and place it in your mods folder

2. Restart Minecraft Forge completely

3. Launch the game and check if the ported mod now loads

4. Look at the mod list to confirm both mods appear without errors

Verify on Servers

If playing multiplayer, the server must also have ForgedFabric installed. Ask your server admin to add it to their mods folder if ported mods aren't working. Single-player worlds only need it in your client mods folder.

Still Not Working?

Confirm you're using the correct Minecraft version and Forge version that both the ported mod and ForgedFabric support. Version mismatches are the most common cause of loading failures.
