How to Know if You Need This Mod

ForgedFabric API Mod is a library mod—it doesn't add gameplay content by itself. You only need it if you're running mods that were originally built for Fabric but have been ported to Forge.

Common ported mods that require ForgedFabric include combat enhancement mods and scaling systems. Check your mod list or the mod's description page to see if it lists ForgedFabric as a dependency.

Installation Check

1. Launch your Forge instance

2. Open the mods menu and search for "ForgedFabric"

3. If a ported mod won't load and shows a missing dependency error mentioning ForgedFabric, you need to install it

4. If all your mods load without errors, the mod is either already installed or not needed

Where It Goes

Place the ForgedFabric mod file in your mods folder alongside any mods that depend on it. It works on both single-player and multiplayer servers—if a server uses ported mods, the mod must be on the server too.
