How to Find Bever Ores and Avoid Getting Fooled by Fake Diamonds

Forge Forge Frontier adds special ores such as Bever ores. It also adds fake diamonds, which are designed to trick you. These steps help you collect the real ores without wasting a trip on a decoy.

Identifying What You're Looking At

1. Press F3 to open the debug screen.

2. Look straight at the ore you want to check. The right side of the debug screen shows the targeted block and its ID.

3. Vanilla blocks show a minecraft: prefix. Blocks from this mod show a different prefix. If a block that looks like diamond ore does not show the vanilla diamond ore ID, treat it as suspect.

4. Do this before you spend durability or time digging toward a vein.

Mining and Double-Checking Your Haul

  • Check every drop. After you mine a suspicious block, open your inventory and hover over the item. The tooltip shows its real name.
  • Keep finds separate. Put Bever ore drops and any questionable diamonds in their own chest, apart from your real diamonds. That way a fake never ends up in an important craft by accident.
  • Explore the bever biome. The Bever ore shares its name with the mod's bever biome and bever dimension, so those areas are a sensible place to start looking. Confirm each ore with F3 rather than assuming.
  • Test before you rely on it. Before you commit a stack to a build or a recipe, try one item first and see whether it behaves like the real thing.

If you're on a server, share what you learn about the fake diamonds with other players so nobody gets caught out.
