I just installed Elemental Visions, what should I do first?
Get one or more of the seven elemental diamond swords and attack some hostile mobs. Each sword deals its own element's damage, and hitting a mob with two different elements triggers a reaction. Start with the Cryo sword, since its Freeze effect is the easiest to see.
What elements are in the mod?
There are seven elemental diamond swords: Pyro, Hydro, Electro, Cryo, Dendro, Anemo and Geo. Each one deals damage of its own element type.
How do I get the elemental swords?
Look for them in the creative inventory, or use a recipe viewer if you have one installed to see how each sword is made in survival. Gather all seven so you can try every element combination.
How do I trigger an elemental reaction?
Hit a mob with one elemental sword, then switch to a sword of a different element and hit the same mob. Keeping two or more swords on your hotbar lets you swap quickly mid-fight.
Why isn't my elemental reaction happening?
Reactions come from combining different elements, so hitting a mob repeatedly with the same sword won't trigger one. Make sure your second hit uses a different element and lands on the same target.
How does the Freeze effect work?
Strike a mob with the Cryo sword to freeze it in place. A frozen mob is held still, which makes it easy to follow up with another element or to escape from a dangerous enemy.
What are the Stun Baton, "O Tides, I Have Returned." and "Do you fear the dark?" items?
These are the mod's joke and meme items. They're included to make fights more entertaining. Try each one on mobs to see what it does, and store them alongside your elemental blades.
Does Elemental Visions work with Genshin Craft or Elemental Reaction?
Yes. The mod has built-in compatibility with both Genshin Craft and Elemental Reaction, and either one can replace the default combat system. If you have one of them installed, your elemental hits run through that mod's system instead of the built-in one.
Do I need Genshin Craft or Elemental Reaction to use this mod?
No. Elemental Visions has its own default elemental combat system, so the swords and reactions work by themselves. The compatibility with those mods is optional and only matters if you want to use their combat system instead.
Does the mod need to be installed on both the server and the client?
Yes, install it on the server and on every player's client. The mod adds new items and status effects, so both sides need it to recognize the swords, joke items and effects like Freeze.
