Boiling Water in a Copper Cauldron

Place a Copper Cauldron and fill it with water. Light a heat source beneath it — a Campfire Cauldron works as the campfire-based variant, while the Copper Cauldron is the standard boiling vessel. Once heated, the water inside becomes Purified Water. You can then scoop it out with a bucket to get a Purified Water Bucket, or use it directly to fill a Leather Flask.

Filling and Upgrading Flasks

With Purified Water ready, craft a Leather Flask and fill it from the cauldron. The Leather Flask is your base container. To carry more or take it into dangerous situations, upgrade it through smithing:

The smithing_transform recipe handles these upgrades, so keep a smithing table nearby. Higher-tier flasks hold more purified water, letting you travel farther between refills.

Collecting Rainwater

If you have no cauldron fuel, place a Rainwater Collector outdoors. It gathers water during rain, which you can then transfer to a cauldron for boiling or drink once purified. The Bamboo Pump can move water between containers when you need to route it without buckets.

Always purify before drinking. Raw water from collectors or buckets is not safe; only Purified Water from a heated cauldron keeps you hydrated without harm.
