Starting with the Leather Flask

Craft a Leather Flask first. It is the base container for carrying Purified Water. Fill it by using it on a Copper Cauldron or Campfire Cauldron that holds Purified Water. A full flask lets you drink while exploring without returning to your base.

Upgrading Through Smithing

Take your Leather Flask to a smithing table. The smithing_transform recipe upgrades it step by step:

Each tier increases how much Purified Water the flask holds. Gather the matching metal or gem plus your current flask, then apply the smithing transform. Work upward in order — you cannot skip straight from Leather to Netherite without the intermediate tiers.

Keeping Flasks Full

Refill any flask tier at a heated cauldron containing Purified Water. If you run low, place a Rainwater Collector to gather water, then boil it in a Copper Cauldron or Campfire Cauldron. Use a Bamboo Pump to move collected water into the cauldron automatically.

Carry a spare Purified Water Bucket as backup for long trips. When a flask empties, pour from the bucket into the cauldron, reboil if needed, and refill. Upgrading to a Diamond or Netherite Leather Flask reduces how often you must stop to refill.
