Choosing the Right Bed Comfort Tier for Sleep Speed, Respawn and Healing
Every bed in Cozy Homestead Essentials has one of four comfort tiers. They feel very different in play, so choose based on what the bed is for.
What each tier does
| Tier | Time to complete sleep | Respawn point | On waking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | 10 seconds | Keeps your existing respawn location | Nothing extra |
| Low | 7.5 seconds | Updates to this bed | Nothing extra |
| Normal | 5 seconds | Sets your spawn here | Short Regeneration buff |
| Deluxe | 2.5 seconds | Sets your spawn here | Heals you; nearby monsters are ignored |
Matching tiers to situations
- Travel and outpost beds: Use a Basic bed when you want to skip the night away from home without losing your main spawn. It is the only tier that leaves your respawn location alone.
- Mining camps: A Low bed moves your spawn to the camp. If you die deep underground, you respawn close to your gear.
- Main base: A Normal bed sets your spawn and gives you Regeneration when you wake. This helps you start the day after a rough night.
- Dangerous areas: A Deluxe bed ignores nearby monsters, so you can sleep in places where vanilla beds would refuse you. It also heals you on waking and is the fastest way through the night.
Testing your choice
Sleep in the bed once and count how long the sleep takes. Then check where you respawn after your next death. Both tell you whether the bed's tier and spawn behavior are what you wanted.
