Enable the Inventory Module

Open your Corpse Complex config file or access the in-game config GUI. Navigate to the Inventory module and enable it.

Configure Item Retention

Look for the inventory drop settings. You'll find options to specify which items are kept versus dropped on death. Set the configuration so that only armor pieces (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) are retained in your inventory after dying.

Optional: Prevent Durability Loss

If you want your armor to survive death without taking durability damage, disable durability loss in the inventory module settings. Alternatively, you can allow durability loss if you want deaths to have more consequence.

Test Your Settings

Create a test world or find a safe location to die and verify your configuration works as intended. Items in your inventory should drop, but your equipped armor should remain with you after respawning.

Fine-Tune as Needed

If the behavior doesn't match your preference, return to the config and adjust which item types are kept or dropped. You can customize this to keep specific tools, weapons, or other items alongside armor if desired.
