Colossal Chests Mod FAQ

Place a Colossal Chest block as the core, then surround it with Chest Wall blocks of the matching material to form a hollow rectangular shell. The chest will assemble automatically once the walls fully enclose the core.

The Interface block acts as the access point for a Colossal Chest, letting you open the storage GUI and connect pipes or hoppers. Place it on the chest wall in place of a Chest Wall block.

Use the Chest Upgrade Tool on the Colossal Chest to convert it to a higher-tier material. The chest must be empty or the upgrade will not apply.

Use the Chest Downgrade Tool on the Colossal Chest to revert it to a lower-tier material. Like upgrading, the chest must be empty before the downgrade will work.

Colossal Chests and their matching Chest Walls and Interfaces come in Wood, Copper, Silver, Gold, Iron, Diamond, Obsidian, and Netherite variants. Each tier provides a different storage capacity.

The Uncolossal Chest is a single-block storage item that does not require a multiblock structure. It is crafted via a smithing transform recipe.

Yes, the Chest Wall blocks forming the shell must match the material of the Colossal Chest core. Mixing materials will prevent the structure from assembling.

Right-click the Interface block on the chest to open its storage GUI. You can also insert or extract items through the Interface using hoppers or pipes.

Yes, hoppers and other item transport blocks can connect to the Interface block to insert or extract items. The Interface must be part of the assembled chest structure.
