Catch and Bucket Fish from Modded Mods

Finding Compatible Fish

Bountiful Ocean Harvest expands your fishing options by registering aquatic creatures from over thirty mods into the Tide fishing system. Fish from mods like Alex's Mobs, Aquaculture, BetterEnd, and Upgrade Aquatic can now be caught using standard fishing rods.

Fish in the biomes where they naturally spawn—modded aquatic creatures appear in their original mod locations, whether that's rivers, oceans, or specialized biomes.

Collecting Fish in Buckets

Once caught, most supported fish species can be scooped into water buckets. After reeling in a modded fish:

1. Have an empty water bucket in your inventory

2. Right-click the fish while it swims nearby

3. The fish will be captured into the bucket

Bucketed fish can be transported and released in other water sources. This works for the majority of modded aquatic creatures added by this mod, though some rare or special species may have restrictions.

Tracking Your Catches

Every new fish you catch is automatically logged in your Fishing Journal. Open it to view detailed information about each species you've discovered, including which biomes they inhabit and their rarity.
