Choosing the Right Upgrade for Your Crate

Identify your crate tier first

Before crafting anything, check which crate you have: Wooden crate, Copper crate, Tin crate, Iron crate, Golden crate, Diamond crate, or Obsidian crate. The upgrade you need depends entirely on the crate in front of you.

Upgrade-to-crate reference

• Wooden crate → Copper upgrade
• Copper crate → Tin upgrade
• Tin crate → Iron upgrade
• Iron crate → Golden upgrade
• Golden crate → Diamond upgrade
• Diamond crate → Obsidian upgrade
• Obsidian crate → no further upgrade exists

Combined upgrades give you alternatives:

• Copper crate → Copper/Golden upgrade
• Tin crate → Tin/Golden upgrade
• Iron crate → Iron/Golden upgrade

Each combined upgrade lands you on Golden crate, letting you skip the intermediate tiers between the source crate and Golden.

All upgrades are applied through crafting_shaped recipes. Place the crate and the matching upgrade in the crafting grid to convert the crate to the next tier. If nothing happens, the upgrade does not match the crate you are using — swap to the correct upgrade for that tier.
