Troubleshoot Mod Loading Errors Related to Archivist

Identify Archivist-Related Problems

If your game won't start or a mod fails to load, Archivist might be missing or incompatible.

Check the Launcher Log

1. Open your launcher and look for error messages after clicking Play.

2. Search the log for "Archivist" or the name of the mod that won't load.

3. Look for messages like "missing dependency" or "Archivist not found."

Fix Missing Archivist

• Download Archivist and place it in your mods folder.
• Restart your game completely.
• Check the log again—the error should disappear.

Verify Correct Installation

• Confirm Archivist is in the same mods folder as the mod requiring it.
• If playing multiplayer, ensure the server has Archivist installed too.
• Check that your Minecraft version matches what Archivist supports (see mod page).
