Set Up Archivist for Multiplayer Servers

Server-Side Installation

Archivist handles data storage for mods on servers. Proper setup ensures all players experience consistent mod features.

Install on Your Server

1. Download Archivist and place it in your server's mods folder.

2. Restart the server completely.

3. Check the server log for any errors mentioning Archivist.

Client Setup

• If a mod using Archivist runs on the client side, players connecting to your server must also install Archivist in their own mods folder.
• If the mod only runs server-side, clients don't need it.
• Check the dependent mod's documentation to confirm which side needs Archivist.

Verify Installation

• Start your server and let it fully load.
• Have a player join and use features from mods that depend on Archivist.
• If everything works without errors, installation is successful.

Data Persistence

Archivist automatically manages saved data for dependent mods. You don't need to configure anything—it handles world data and configs behind the scenes. Simply ensure it's installed and let it run.
