Paint Your Own Skin Directly on a Plush
You don't need an outside image editor to design a custom look. The Paint tab lets you draw right on the 3D model.
Open the Paint Tools
1. Place a Skin Plush on any block.
2. Hold Shift and right-click it to open the studio editor.
3. Optional: start from an existing skin. Load a username or image link in the Skin tab first, then touch it up instead of painting from scratch.
4. Switch to the Paint tab.
Paint the Model
1. Use the color picker to choose your color.
2. Pick a brush size. Use a small brush for faces, eyes and fine details. Use a larger brush for broad areas like shirts and pants.
3. Click directly on the model to paint. Rotate your view around the figure to reach the back and sides.
4. Use the fill option to color a whole area at once. This works well for solid-colored clothing.
5. To remove part of the outer layer, use outer layer erasing. The outer layer is the overlay used for things like hats, jackets and sleeves. Erasing it exposes the base skin underneath without wiping out your base paint.
6. When you're happy with the result, select Save changes.
Tips
- Work from big shapes to small details. Fill the clothing first, then add trim and the face with a small brush.
- Painted textures save with your world and sync on multiplayer servers. Your friends will see your artwork too.
