Make Your Plush Move with a Keyframe Animation Loop

Plushies can play custom animations right in your world. Build one with the in-game timeline in the Animate tab.

Build the Animation

1. Hold Shift and right-click a placed Skin Plush to open the studio editor.

2. Set up the skin and any held items first. The Skin, Paint and Items tabs are all available, so the figure looks right while you animate.

3. Open the Animate tab to see the timeline.

4. Move to the start of the timeline. Pose the figure using G (move), R (rotate) and S (scale), then add a keyframe.

5. Move further along the timeline, change the pose, and add another keyframe. The plush will move smoothly between the two.

6. Turn on autokey to speed things up. It records keyframes for you as you adjust the pose, so you don't have to add each one by hand.

7. Adjust the playback curves to change how motion eases between keyframes. For example, you can make a wave start slowly and snap at the end.

8. Use the speed controls to make the whole loop play faster or slower.

Finish and Save

1. For a seamless loop, make your last pose match your first.

2. Select Save changes. Close the editor and the plush plays your animation in the world.

Animations save with your world and sync on multiplayer servers, so everyone sees the same motion. For inspiration, try the ready-made animations in the mod's creative tab.
