How to Troubleshoot the Angel Ring When Flight Will Not Activate

Check the Basics

If double-tapping jump does nothing, first confirm the ring is actually equipped in the correct slot. Some setups require a dedicated ring/curios slot rather than a normal inventory slot. Next, check that you are not in a dimension or area where flight is disabled by the pack (some packs block flight in specific dimensions).

Powered Ring Problems

If you are using a Leadstone, Hardened, Reinforced, Resonant, or Energetic Angel Ring, the most common cause is an empty energy buffer. Charge the ring at your energy system and try again. If it still will not fly, confirm the ring is receiving the correct energy type your pack uses — mismatched energy will not charge it.

Keybind and Conflict Issues

Another frequent cause is a keybind conflict. If another mod uses double-tap jump for something else, the toggle may not register. Open your controls menu and look for the Angel Ring flight keybind, then rebind it to something unused. Also make sure you are double-tapping quickly enough; a slow double-tap is read as two separate jumps.

Still Stuck

If none of the above works, try removing and re-equipping the ring, then relog. If the problem persists only in one world, the pack's config may be restricting flight there.
