Preparing for Deep Exploration

The mod's increased logical height of 256 blocks opens new exploration possibilities. Before venturing deep, gather essential supplies: plenty of blocks for building, water buckets, food, and weapons.

Navigation and Safety

1. Use coordinates constantly — press F3 to track your Y-level as you descend

2. Mark your path with distinctive blocks or torches so you can navigate back

3. Watch for lava — the Nether still contains abundant lava at all heights

4. Build platforms as you descend to create safe stopping points

What to Expect

• Terrain generation extends throughout the new height range, creating varied landscapes
• Nether structures (fortresses, bastions) may generate at different heights than vanilla
• Mob spawning follows the logical height rules, so some areas may feel safer or more dangerous
