Armor Pieces
Several armor items are craftable from mob materials:
Crocodile Chestplate — chest armor from crocodile drops.
Rock Shell Chestplate — chest armor from rock shell materials.
Spiked Turtle Shell — chest armor with a spiked variant.
Cave Centipede Leggings — leg armor.
Outback Leggings — leg armor.
Froststalker Helmet — head armor.- Frontiersman's Cap — head armor.
Boots and Wings
Flying Fish Boots — boots for water and air movement.
Roadrunner Boots — boots for speed.
Tarantula Hawk Elytra — wing slot gear made from 
Tarantula Hawk Wing.
Gathering Materials
Each piece needs drops from its namesake mob. Hunt the mob, collect the drop, then craft at a table. For the Tarantula Hawk Elytra, collect Tarantula Hawk Wing first. For the Spiked Turtle Shell, gather the base shell then upgrade it.
Loadout Advice
Mix pieces to suit your trip: Roadrunner Boots for overland travel, Flying Fish Boots for ocean work, Froststalker Helmet for cold biomes. Keep spare materials in a chest so you can rebuild a piece after it breaks.
