Crafting and Using Upgrade Kits

What Upgrade Kits Do

Upgrade Kits are the mod's tier-progression items. The facts list Abyssal Upgrade Kit, Ancient Upgrade Kit, and Apoco Upgrade Kit. Each kit is applied to gear to push it into a higher tier, and the upgrade_kit recipe type (36 recipes) is what handles that conversion.

Applying a Kit

Place the Upgrade Kit and the target item into the upgrade_kit recipe. The kit is consumed and the item is returned in its upgraded form. Because the exact grid varies by kit, open the recipe viewer and search the kit's name to see which base item it accepts. Do not guess the pairing — an Abyssal Upgrade Kit will not accept the same inputs as an Ancient Upgrade Kit.

Progression Logic

Work upward through the tiers. Early gear is upgraded with the kit matching your current dimension's materials, then replaced by the next kit's output. Bank spare kits before a boss run so a failed attempt does not cost you the upgrade. Kits are also worth stockpiling for weapons and armor separately, since each kit applies to a specific item class. If a kit will not apply, the base item is likely already at the tier that kit produces, or it belongs to a different upgrade line entirely.
