The Dalgona Challenge Basics

Dalgona is a precision game where you must carve out a shape from a honeycomb-like candy without breaking it. You're given a specific shape to extract—usually a simple form like a circle, triangle, or umbrella. Breaking the candy means instant elimination.

Carving Technique

Start from the edges: Begin your cuts around the perimeter of your target shape, not in the middle. This reduces pressure on the brittle center.

Use small, controlled motions: Don't make large sweeping cuts. Small, deliberate strokes give you better control and reduce the risk of sudden fractures.

Work inward gradually: Once the edges are partially carved, slowly work toward the center. This prevents large chunks from suddenly snapping off.

Avoid corners: If your shape has sharp corners, approach them last and with extra care. Corners are stress points where breaks are most likely.

Listen for audio cues: The game may provide feedback about your progress. Pay attention to any warnings about structural integrity.

Take your time: There's no speed bonus for Dalgona. Patience is your greatest asset. Rushing leads to careless breaks.
