Locating Poké Centers

Every town in the Johto and Kanto regions has a Poké Center—look for the distinctive building with a red roof. These facilities are essential stops during your journey, especially after difficult battles or long routes.

Healing Your Pokémon

Enter a Poké Center and interact with the healing station. Your entire team will be fully restored to health, curing status conditions like poison or paralysis. This is free and instant, so use Poké Centers frequently to keep your team in peak condition.

Storing and Switching Pokémon

Poké Centers also contain PC systems where you can manage your caught Pokémon. Store extras you're not actively using, or swap team members to prepare for upcoming gym battles. This is useful when you've caught many Pokémon but only want to carry six active fighters.

Strategy Tip

Visit a Poké Center before challenging a gym leader. A fully healed team gives you the best chance of success in important battles.
