The Daylight Detector is an item that players craft from wooden slabs of any type, glass, and Nether Quartz. It stacks up to 64, and placing one puts down a block of the same name.
Players set the item down in the world to use it as a placed block. Because any wooden slab works in the recipe, the crafting is easy to adapt to whatever wood is on hand.
