The bookshelf is a block that players craft from planks of any wood type and books. It stacks up to 64 in a single inventory slot, and placing one down sets a block of the same name in the world.
Beyond decoration, the bookshelf is used as an ingredient in one other crafting recipe, which makes it more than a simple furnishing for a player's build.
