The core mechanic is simple: combine a Leather Cap with any supported block or item to create a wearable version.

1. Open your crafting grid (2×2 in inventory or 3×3 crafting table)

2. Place a Leather Cap in any slot

3. Place your chosen block or item in any other slot

4. The output will show a new item with the Wearable tag

5. Take the finished item from the output slot

Once crafted, the wearable item functions like any helmet:

1. Open your inventory

2. Click the wearable item and drag it to your head armor slot (top-left of the armor section)

3. The block or item will now display on your character's head in first-person and third-person views

Never place wearable items on the ground — they will lose their wearable tag and revert to regular blocks
Store finished wearables in your inventory, chests, or item frames
The custom model persists even if you remove the data pack later, though the wearable tag may change
