How Badge Drops Work

This data pack modifies the loot tables of gym leaders so they drop badge items instead of their default rewards. When you defeat a gym leader for the first time, the pack triggers a one-time drop of their unique badge.

Important Timing Rules

• Badges only drop after your first successful battle against each individual gym leader.
• Defeating the same gym leader again will not produce another badge.
• The badge appears as a ground item immediately after victory, so collect it before it despawns.
• If you miss the badge, you cannot obtain it again from that leader—plan accordingly if badges are important to your world.

Multiple Leaders

Each gym leader has their own unique badge. Collecting all badges requires defeating every gym leader in your world at least once. The advancement menu tracks which badges you've obtained, making it easy to see which leaders you still need to challenge.
