How do I craft the Stab Shot orbital strike weapon?
You need four TNT blocks and one fishing rod. Place them on a crafting table to get the Stab Shot, using the layout shown in the recipe screenshot on this page.
Why can't I craft the Stab Shot in my inventory grid?
The recipe is made on a crafting table, not in the small 2x2 inventory grid. Set down a crafting table and arrange the four TNT and the fishing rod there.
How do I actually fire the Stab Shot?
Hold the Stab Shot, aim at the spot or mobs you want to hit, and activate it the same way you would use a normal item. Then get back to a safe distance before the blast lands.
Can I use the Stab Shot more than once?
No, it is a single-use weapon and you only get one strike per item. If you want several strikes, craft several and bring extra TNT and fishing rods.
I blew myself up with the Stab Shot, what did I do wrong?
The explosion is enormous, so aiming close to your feet or standing near the target puts you inside the blast. Aim well away from yourself and back off right after activating it.
Does the Stab Shot destroy blocks or just kill mobs?
It does both. It eliminates mobs in the impact radius and wrecks the nearby terrain, leaving a large crater, so never fire it near your base, farms, or anything you want to keep.
What is the Stab Shot best used for?
It works best as an emergency weapon for wiping out a dangerous group of hostile mobs or a threat that is too hard to fight directly. It is also handy for clearing large areas of terrain quickly.
Can I use the Stab Shot to dig out land for building?
Yes, one strike blasts a big crater in seconds, which makes it useful for rough excavation or flattening a messy area. The result is crude, so expect to tidy up the edges by hand.
Does this work in multiplayer, and do other players need to install anything?
It is a data pack, so it is loaded by the world or server rather than by each player's game. Players joining the server can craft and use the Stab Shot without installing anything themselves.
Will firing the Stab Shot cause lag?
A huge explosion is heavy for the game to process, so weaker computers or busy servers may stutter briefly when it goes off. Avoid firing several strikes back to back in the same area if your world starts to lag.
