Fix Menus That Still Show English or Raw Text Instead of Russian
This guide covers cases where Wildfire's Female Gender Mod's screens aren't fully in Russian. Work through these checks in order.
Check the basics first
1. Game language: go to Options → Language and make sure Русский is selected. The pack can't override this setting.
2. Pack active in this world: the pack works inside worlds. Open the world's pack settings and confirm it is enabled.
- If you play in several worlds, enable it in each one.
- If your copy is set up as a resource pack rather than a data pack, enable it under Options → Resource Packs instead.
3. Base mod present: the pack translates the base mod's text and adds nothing on its own. If the base mod isn't installed, you will have no customization screens to translate.
Partial translation or odd labels
Sometimes most of the menus are Russian but a few buttons stay in English. Some labels may also appear as long dotted text strings.
1. Check which version of the base mod you have installed, using your mod list or the file in your mods folder.
2. Compare it against the two text sets in the pack: the older set and the updated set.
3. Switch to the set that matches. Newer base mod releases added or renamed labels, so the older set doesn't cover them.
Still not working
- Reload the world or restart the game after changing packs.
- If another language or text pack is also enabled, disable it temporarily. It may be replacing the Russian lines.
- Open each customization panel again to confirm the fix.
