Understand How Attack Particles Aim at Opponents
Attack Origin Points
Animated moves shoot from three main spots on your Pokémon's body: their feet, their body center, or their mouth. The mod automatically selects the most fitting origin point for each move type. Fire and water attacks typically originate from the mouth, while ground-based moves fire from the feet.
Why Aiming Was Reworked
Older Pokémon models have fewer animation points than newer versions. The mod adjusts how attacks aim and travel so they look natural despite these model limits. This means projectiles follow paths that work visually with the older character models you're using.
What You'll See
When your Pokémon uses an animated move, watch for particles that travel from the origin point toward the opponent. The particles should appear to come from a logical body part rather than floating randomly. Some attacks create area effects around the target instead of traveling projectiles—this is intentional and depends on the move type.
