Ride Newly Added Creatures Across Your World

Which Creatures Can Be Ridden

Many of the newly added creatures support riding, particularly larger species. Not every creature is rideable—generally, only creatures large enough to carry a player will have this feature enabled.

Steps to ride a creature:

1. Catch and add the creature to your active team

2. Approach the creature and interact with it (right-click on most versions)

3. If the creature supports riding, you'll mount it

4. Use standard movement controls to travel—the creature will move across terrain

5. Dismount by sneaking or pressing the dismount key

Benefits of Riding

Riding offers faster travel than walking and lets you cross terrain more easily. Some rideable creatures can traverse water or climb steep slopes more effectively than others. Experiment with different creatures to find which ones suit your travel needs best. Riding is purely optional—you can complete the game without using this feature.
