Choosing Your Armor Weight Class
Pick Armor Based on Your Playstyle
Ironclad Vocation organizes armor into three weight classes, each supporting different combat approaches:
Light armor prioritizes mobility and ranged damage. Wear it if you rely on bows or need to stay mobile—you'll gain bow damage and faster melee swings without movement penalties.
Medium armor balances protection and speed. A minor movement slowdown is the trade-off for solid defense, making it suitable for versatile fighters.
Heavy armor maximizes defense and stability. You'll resist knockback and take less damage, but your walking speed and attack speed both decrease. Use this for tanking roles.
Each tier (Iron, Diamond, Netherite) and early-game sets (Wool Gambeson, Copper Scale) follow these weight classes, so check which class a set belongs to before equipping it.
