How to Survive Your First Night in an Integrated Villages Village

Integrated Villages rebuilds vanilla villages into dense, decorated settlements, and that density cuts both ways: more shelter, but also more places for traps and hostile spawns to hide. Before you start looting, secure a base.

Pick a Safe House

Walk the perimeter first. Look for houses with intact walls, a single obvious entrance, and no visible redstone components, pressure plates, or tripwire near the door. Supplementaries and Quark decorations often sit right next to functional traps, so treat any oddly placed block near a doorway as suspicious. Avoid basements and attics on night one — those are where puzzles and dungeon entrances tend to be.

Lock Down and Light Up

Once inside, block the door with a dirt or cobble pillar and place torches on every interior wall and floor tile you can reach. Villages in this mod are large, so mobs can spawn in gaps between buildings that vanilla lighting rules would normally cover.

Do Not Touch Machines Yet

Create mod doors and machines appear throughout the village. They look inviting, but interacting with an unfamiliar contraption can trigger a trap or lock you in. Leave them alone until daylight and until you have tools to break out.
