How to Solve Integrated Villages Puzzles and Dungeons
Integrated Villages hides lore-rich dungeons and puzzle rooms inside and beneath its houses. They are meant to be solved, not brute-forced, and the rewards scale with the difficulty.
Find the Entrance
Puzzle rooms usually sit behind a door that does not open normally, a bookshelf wall, or a staircase leading down from a basement. Look for rooms with unusual block palettes compared to the rest of the house, or with a single chest placed conspicuously in the open — that is often bait in front of the real entrance.
Read the Room Before Acting
Once inside, do not touch levers or buttons immediately. Walk the full room and note:
- Colored blocks, banners, or item frames that form a pattern.
- Numbered or ordered containers, such as barrels in a row.
- Create mod mechanical parts that suggest a required input, like a crank or a gear train.
Most puzzles in this mod are pattern-matching or sequence puzzles. The clue is almost always visible somewhere in the same room or in the house above.
Bring the Right Kit
Carry a pickaxe, shears, a bucket of water, torches, and a stack of cheap blocks. Water and blocks let you bypass or test mechanisms without committing. If a puzzle defeats you, mark the coordinates and leave — you can return with redstone components or a Create wrench once you understand the mechanism.
