Calculate Statistical Values (Median and Standard Deviation)

Gathering Your Data

Collect numeric values from your Integrated Dynamics network—these might be energy levels, item counts, or sensor readings. Store them in a list within your script. The mod's scripting environment supports arrays and basic data structures for this purpose.

Computing Median

Sort your collected values in ascending order. If you have an odd number of values, the median is the middle element. If even, take the average of the two middle values. This gives you the true center of your data, useful for understanding typical behavior.

Computing Standard Deviation

Calculate the mean of your values first. Then, for each value, find the difference from the mean and square it. Average those squared differences (variance), then take the square root. This tells you how spread out your data is—high deviation means inconsistent behavior, low means stable.

Using Your Results

Display these statistics on panels to monitor system stability and performance over time.
