How to Find and Enter an Overhauled Cataclysm Dungeon

Locating the Redesigned Structures

Integrated Cataclysm keeps Cataclysm's original structure spawns but rebuilds their interiors. The dungeons still generate in the same biomes and dimensions as the base mod, so if you already know where Cataclysm's bosses live, head there. Use a structure-locating method you trust (exploration, maps, or a locator item from another mod) rather than expecting a new dedicated compass. When you arrive, the outer silhouette may look familiar, but the entrance is usually the first thing that changed — look for a Supplementaries-style door, a Quark-flavored gate, or a Create-powered mechanism instead of an open archway.

Getting Past the Entrance

Do not assume you can just walk in. Many entrances are gated behind a small Create contraption: a lever that rotates a mechanical component, a pressure-plate puzzle, or a door that needs rotational force from a hand-crank or a nearby power source. Inspect the walls and floor around the doorway for redstone-adjacent blocks, cogwheels, or shafts. If a door refuses to open, search the immediate courtyard for the input — a button hidden behind Supplementaries decor, a Quark variant of a familiar block, or a chest with a hint item. Bring a wrench and a few Create components; some puzzles expect you to complete a short mechanical chain before the way in opens.

Before You Go Deeper

Stock up on torches, a light source that works underwater, and blocks to bridge gaps. The overhauled layouts are denser than vanilla Cataclysm rooms, so retreat paths are longer. Mark your entry point with a distinctive block so you can find your way back out.
