Identify and Evaluate Your First Drops

Getting Started with Identification

When you defeat your first hostile mobs, you'll receive unidentified weapons and armor. These items hide their true stats and rarity until revealed. To unlock their potential:

1. Collect an Identification Ticket (obtained from mob drops or crafting)

2. Place your unidentified gear and the ticket together in an anvil

3. The anvil will reveal the item's hidden rarity tier, base stats, and any bonus effects

Understanding What You Find

Once identified, check the item's tooltip to see:

• Rarity tier (determines power ceiling and visual appearance)
• Base stats (attack damage for weapons, defense for armor)
• Bonus stats (critical strike chance, elemental damage, health)
• Socket slots (empty gems can be inserted here)

Higher rarity items have more bonus stats and socket slots. Don't discard lower-rarity drops immediately—they're useful for learning the system and can be deconstructed for their bonuses.
