Setting Up the Cracker

The Mega Oil Cracker is an advanced multiblock for refining crude oil and heavy fuel fractions into lighter, more valuable products. Build the structure using appropriate industrial casings—typically steel or higher-tier materials. The machine is large, so plan your space accordingly.

Connect fluid input and output hatches to manage oil flow. Attach EU power cables to the designated input face; this machine demands substantial power at mid-to-high voltage tiers.

Operating the Cracker

Insert crude oil or heavy oil into the input hatch using pipes or manual buckets. The Cracker will break down heavy molecules into lighter fuels and byproducts like naphtha, diesel, and gas.

Monitor output tanks to prevent overflow. Configure recipes through the control panel—different input materials yield different product mixes. Hotter operating temperatures (achieved through higher power input or heat sources) generally improve efficiency.

Use output products as fuel for Chemical Combustion Engines or further processing in the Mega Chemical Reactor. The Cracker is essential for establishing sustainable fuel production chains in late-game factories.
