Build a Power Generation Chain with Chemical Combustion Engines

Selecting Your Engine Tier

Chemical Combustion Engines come in multiple voltage tiers (EV and IV are common). Choose your tier based on current progression and available fuel types. Each tier requires different fuel inputs and produces proportional power output.

Build the engine structure using the appropriate casings for your tier. These are typically compact multiblocks compared to other machines. Connect the fuel input hatch and EU output cables to your power network.

Fueling Continuous Operation

Chemical Combustion Engines consume specialized fuels—not standard coal or wood. The mod introduces new fuel types like refined oil products, synthetic fuels, and advanced chemical compounds. Set up a supply chain using the Mega Oil Cracker or chemical reactors to produce compatible fuels.

Insert fuel via fluid pipes into the input hatch. The engine will automatically consume fuel and generate EU. Higher-tier engines produce more power but require more sophisticated fuels.

Combine multiple engines for redundancy and increased output. Use this power generation method alongside solar panels and other sources to create a balanced, resilient energy infrastructure for your factory.
