How to Tell If Incendium Biomes Only Is Working Correctly
Check the Biome, Not the Mobs
New players often assume the mod is broken because they see no custom creatures or bosses. That is the point of this version — it keeps only the biomes. The correct test is whether unfamiliar terrain and biome names appear during world generation. Load a new world with the mod enabled and explore a few thousand blocks in one direction.
Reading the Debug Screen
Enable the debug screen and watch the biome field as you cross terrain. Vanilla biome names will appear in normal areas; Incendium biome names will appear in the dramatic, stylized regions. If every biome you cross is a standard vanilla one after a long journey, something is wrong with your setup — check that the mod is actually loaded in your mod list and that you generated a new world rather than loading an old save.
What You Should NOT Expect
Do not look for custom weapons, armor, spawn eggs, or dungeon entrances. None of those are included. If you find a vanilla village, pillager outpost, or stronghold, that is normal vanilla generation, not Incendium content. The absence of custom structures is confirmation the mod is behaving as designed, not evidence of failure. Compare your terrain against screenshots of the full Incendium mod — the landscapes should match even though the loot and enemies do not.
